Vladivostok for tourists: routes for 3-7 days

Planning a short trip to Vladivostok and do not know where to start? For 3-7 days you can see the main thing, try local cuisine, visit nature and look at interesting places. This guide will tell you how to make a route to get the most impressions.  

Day 1: Center of Vladivostok - history, types and food

The first day is better to devote to acquaintance with the center. Start with walk along Svetlanskaya Street is the historical artery of the city, where the buildings of the late XIX century have been preserved. Take a look at the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East to get a basic idea of Primorye.

Next walk along the Ship Embankment and the Embankment of Tsesarevich - there are views of the Golden Horn Bay and the Golden Bridge. Be sure to visit the Tokarevsky Lighthouse, a popular photo location in the city. The road to it lies on a stone spit - check the tide schedule.

In the evening, look at one of the restaurants with panoramic views. Try local seafood: scallops, trepang, mussels. On "dessert" - a walk along Admiral Fokin Street, the Old GUM Palace or the Jubilee Beach with souvenir shops, strid food and street music.

Day 2-3: Russian Island and Cultural Spaces

On the second day, go to Russian Island. Start with the Primorsky Oceanarium, the largest scientific and educational center in the region. Nearby is the FEFU campus, where you can walk along the embankment with sea views.

The third day can be dedicated to museums and theaters. We recommend to visit Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre - it is better to see the poster in advance. You can also go to the Pushkin Theater. Don’t forget to ride the funicular to the hill of the Eagle’s Nest: from there one of the best views of the city opens

Vladivostok for 4-7 days: outbound routes and outdoor activities

If you have more than three days, it’s time to explore the area. An excellent option is the botanical garden of DVO RAS. In spring here Sakura bloom  and rhododendron. You can get there by bus or taxi.

For 5-6 days, go outside the city:

●     The Glass Bay is a beach with clear water and unusual glass pebbles. It is better to go by car.
      Cape Vyatlin and Cape Tobizin are natural places on the Russian island with stunning views of the rocks and sea. The trip to each cape will take 2-4 hours. Be sure to take water and snacks.

>Save the 7th day for markets and gastronomy. Visit the market "2nd river" - there you can buy fresh seafood, caviar and souvenirs. Don’t forget about pyan-se and milkis – gastronomic symbols of Vladivostok.
