- All-Russian award "Tourist cities" is awarded to municipalities following the results of the past year. It allows determining the most successful practices of cities in certain types and directions of domestic tourism, promoting the tourism potential of a regional subject, creating information and communication platforms for interaction between authorities, business, public organizations of regions in the field of tourism. That is why the number of nominations is 26. Their choice is not accidental, it covers different directions of tourism: interesting excursions, preservation of historical heritage, originality of the territory, comfort and hospitality and others. And each city tries to present not just its strengths, but to isolate those "highlights" that increase its attractiveness in the eyes of tourists.
" During the preparation of applications, we decided to focus on the disclosure of three directions of tourist brands of our city: to tell about the patriotic heritage, to present Vladivostok as a city of children's tourism and, in general, once again to present Vladivostok as a tourist city-brand. A pleasant surprise was the fact that it turned out to pass to the final, according to expert assessment, in six nominations at once: the jury members saw the strengths of the Far Eastern capital, including a diverse gastronomy, a rich event calendar, opportunities for business events. This shows us that interest in Vladivostok as a tourist destination is only growing, and it can really be a point of attraction for tourists in a variety of tourist destinations at any time of the year, shared her thoughts on participation in the contest Anastasia Povetkina, Deputy Head of the Regional Information Department of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye)
