In the continuation of the festival "Vladivostok Fortress" residents and guests of the city are invited to master classes on bell ringing. 

As told in the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev, the skills of ringing art are ready to share leading Russian campanologists: hierodeacon Father Roman (Ogryzkov) and composer, multi-instrumentalist Olesya Rostovskaya.

Guestors of the festival invite everyone to get acquainted with the bells and learn the instruments on June 20. Free classes will be held in the courtyard of the Museum of the City (Peter the Great, 6) at 12 and 15 hours.

Many interesting things about the history of bells, Russian traditions of bell ringing can be learned at lectures. The first meeting (online) with citizens will be held on June 19. At 17 o'clock in the main building of the Arsenyev Museum, the art director of the festival, teacher, campanologist Natalia Karovskaya will talk about the voice of the bell, the physical nature of sound, the laws of creating musical instruments that produce the most harmonious, highest and lowest, loudest and most strongly affecting human sounds. " In particular, we will touch upon the principles and paradoxes of human perception of sound, we will discuss the possible therapeutic and magical properties of bell ringing, Natalia Karovskaya announces. 

At 18 o'clock here, in the Main Building, Father Roman (Ogryzkov) will open to listeners the secrets of interesting finds: for many years he has been searching for missing, displaced and even sunken bells. 

On June 20 at 18 o'clock in the Museum of the City of the Rostovskaya Bell tradition. Visitors will hear about Russian ringing, carillon, English ringing hand bells, species bell instruments, bell traditions of the East, etc. The series of lectures ends with a meeting with the head of the Sirin ensemble Andrei Kotov. “The reasons for singing. The practice of thinking and creating is the name of his lecture, which, according to the organizers, will be of interest to a wide range of listeners, since it will include practical work with live sound and rhythm. 

Development of the principles of polyphonic interaction in free singing, improvisation and composition, the art of sound combinations in different styles, the implementation of musical ideas - all this will be able to learn at an improvised master class from Andrei Kotov.
