Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) attracts thousands of guests, participants and investors from all over the world to Primorsky Krai. The event is held on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University and includes a rich business, cultural and exhibition programs.

Participation in the forum is a great opportunity to get acquainted with Vladivostok and its sights. In this article, the optimal itinerary for three days, which can be combined with business meetings.

Day 1: Historic Center and observation decks

along Svetlanskaya Street, one of the oldest in the city. Here are preserved buildings of the late XIX – early XX century, and along the street are cozy cafes, boutiques and museums. Svetlanskaya will lead you to the Revolution Fighters Square - the symbolic center of the city, next to which are the buildings of the GUM and the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev.

From here move to the Sports Embankment. Here you can walk along the sea, have a snack in one of the cafes or just sit by the water, watching the sea vessels.

Towards evening we recommend a ride on the funicular and climb to the observation deck "Eagle's Nest". From the height offers an impressive view of the bridge, the Golden Horn Bay and the panorama of Vladivostok

Day 2: Forum and Russian Island

EEF participants spend the main part of the day at the forum site on the FEFU campus. After completing the official program, use the opportunity to explore Russky Island. The first place worth visiting is the Primorsky Oceanarium. It is one of the largest scientific and educational centers of marine biology in Russia. Here you can see rare species of fish, marine mammals and even penguins.

If time permits, go to Cape Akhlestyshev is one of the most picturesque places on Russian Island: sheer cliffs, open sea and hiking trails along the coast.

Day 3: Attractions of Vladivostok and sea color

The third day should be dedicated to the symbols of the city, which are closer to the center and easily accessible. In the morning, head to Tokarevsky Lighthouse - one of the most photographed sights of Vladivostok. The road to it passes through the embankment, going into the sea, and takes about 20 minutes on foot. The lighthouse is especially beautiful at dawn or sunset.

After - a walk along Admiral Fokin Street, which is often called the Vladivostok Arbat. There are many souvenir shops, street musicians and cafes.

In the evening, go to the Millionka quarter - a historical district with the atmosphere of old Vladivostok. Here the spirit of Chinatown is well preserved with its cramped streets, brick arches and cozy courtyards. You can finish the day on the embankment of Tsesarevich or near the ship-museum "Red pennant", admiring the evening lights of the bay.

Practical tips for EEF participants

To do everything and get the most emotions, take note of a few recommendations:

  • Use taxis or car sharing services to save travel time. Pay attention to weather conditions: in September, both warm days and cool evenings are possible - take a light jacket with you. If you do not have time for a full tour, choose locations where you can walk even on a short break (embankments, observation, historical streets). Buy tickets to the aquarium or museums online - this will help to avoid queues. Keep in touch with the WEF information center: they will tell you how to get to the right point or find a tour.
