In Vladivostok, gastro lessons and the festival "O! Mega Taste combined pollock

Guys from schools No. 67 and No. 74 prepared simple recipes and the very process of cooking dishes. But it was interesting, delicious and fun. Someone tried his work at the end of the lesson, and someone was determined to treat his parents. On May 14, 30 ninth-graders celebrated at school No. 67. Under the guidance of the sous-chef of the Coffee Machine chain Christina Murzagilidina, the guys collected zaverton with roasted pollock, fresh cucumber and sesame sauce. During this lesson, students were told a lot of interesting things about pollock, how after the position of “fish for cats”, it rose to the level of a restaurant product, about its useful properties, nutrients, health benefits. This lesson ended with tasting created by his own hand and questions about work in catering: where is this taught, is it possible to get a practice in the summer, how recipes for fast food are born, etc. On May 15 (and this was the final chord in the gastronomic project), a “delicious” lesson was held at school No. 74. Under the leadership of the team of the restaurant of the water complex "Aquatoria" chef Maxim Mozharovsky and sous-chef Anton Gerego 25 second-graders prepared sandwiches with pollock. The process was creative, all diligently laid out in layers of lettuce leaves, onions, tomatoes and fried pollock. The efforts and efforts of the children were rewarded – they all became heroes of reports from the media of Primorye. The staff of School No. 74 expressed gratitude for organizing and conducting such an exciting master class. The teachers noted that they would like to continue this story and expressed a desire to hold such an event in the summer school camp. Note that gastronomy, as a theme and as a process, is interesting and subject to everyone, age has nothing to do with this. The main thing is to set priorities correctly. Depending on the age of the students, the dish chosen for cooking, stories about the profession, about respect for products were strikingly different from each other. It was very important to maintain the balance that the process and information became clear and interesting to students of any age. Recall that in the academic year 2024-2025, the chefs of 15 restaurants in Vladivostok held 35 gastro lessons in schools for almost a thousand children. The initiators and organizers of this “delicious” project were the Tourist Information Center of Primorye (Visit Primorye), the Tourism Agency of Primorsky Krai and the Department of Education of Vladivostok. The last two lessons were held on the eve of the O! Mega Taste, where pollock will be the main topic: - May 18-2 June - restaurant program. Second festival O!
