In Vladivostok will open a multimedia exhibition based on the works of Pushkin

The multimedia exhibition dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin will open in the historical park "Russia - My History" in Vladivostok on June 6 at 12:00. Russian history in the artistic texts of A.S. Pushkin" presents an original view of what image of Russian history - from Ancient Russia to Russia of the XIX century - can be seen in the works of A.S. Pushkin.

A.S. Pushkin's "History of the Russian State" by N.M. Karamzin aroused interest in national history. In some ways agreeing, in some ways challenging the concept of “History”, the poet became an active participant in the most important discourse of his era – the formation of national identity. He creates works in which Ancient Russia, Time of Troubles, Peter’s and post-Petrine Russia come to life, using the genre of ballads, poems, novels, historical drama. In addition, the long-term study of folk art allowed Pushkin to convey in the genre of fairy tales the richness of the national language, the features of the national character and the “opinions of the people”. Pushkin’s genius, acting as a unifying principle, created a new unified literary language as an expression of the history of the Russian people, which includes, according to the poet, “every language that exists in it.” In each hall, works reflecting various historical epochs are correlated with a fairy tale that has a folklore nature and a pronounced parable - "a lesson to good young people." The exhibition is designed for family visitors, since each hall offers both educational material for adults and entertaining games for children. Bright game installations are the result of the work of skillful hands and creative imagination of students of the Siberian Professional College.

The story about Pushkin’s works contains information about the historical or folklore basis of the plot, the history of the creation and artistic embodiment of the text. Documents and materials from the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the All-Russian Museum of A.S. Pushkin, the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan are used. The exhibition creates a great aesthetic impression thanks to a successful design solution and the use of illustrations by such famous artists as V.M. Vasnetsov, I.Y. Bilibin, B.V. Zvorykin, V.A. Favorsky, B.A. Dekhterev, V.M. Konashevich, T.A. Mavrina. 

The creators of the exhibition offer adult visitors and children to read well-known Pushkin texts in a new way. Each hall has interactive multimedia elements designed for active interaction with the content. The main task of the exhibition is to help each visitor find “his own Pushkin”, feel the harmony and depth of his works, read aloud and hear the sounding Pushkin Word.
