Vladivostok hosts exhibition “80 facts about the blockade of Leningrad”

On January 27, the multimedia center “Russia is my history” in Vladivostok hosted the grand opening of the exhibition “80 facts about the blockade of Leningrad”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade. Simultaneously with the St. Petersburg Park, the exposition will be presented to tens of thousands of spectators in 20 historical parks of the largest cities of the country. The partner of the project is the Russian Society “Knowledge”. Remembering the heroes who fought for Leningrad on the front line and in the city itself, and despite the hardships and hardships that defeated the enemy, we honor their unprecedented heroism in the history of wars, amazed at how half-starved people found the strength to defend the city - in the trenches, at artillery guns, at the helms of aircraft, in workshops and factory shops, in laboratories and at desks, at easels or with a pencil in hand. The feat of soldiers of the Leningrad Front, sailors of the Baltic Fleet and citizens of Leningrad inspires contemporaries to be worthy of their memory. Within the framework of the project, electronic images of documents and photographs are presented, revealing in a popular form, but relying on proven facts about the blockade of Leningrad and the heroism of its defenders. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to get closer to understanding the circumstances in which people lived, worked, fought, dreamed, believed, and how they managed to defend their city, through the memoirs of eyewitnesses, diaries, documents of government bodies, enterprises, institutions, organizations, as well as many other historical sources. The exhibition runs until February 25. The age limit is 6+. The material was prepared by the multimedia center “Russia is my history”.
