In Vladivostok will be a film screening of the film “Hero City Leningrad”

81 years ago, one of the most tragic pages of the history of the Great Patriotic War closed: January 27, 1944, the blockade of Leningrad was completely lifted. The Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev organizes the screening of the documentary film "The Hero City of Leningrad."

The film was created for the eponymous exhibition held in early 2024 in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" (St. Petersburg). The piercing story about the perseverance, courage, unbroken will of Leningrad residents is timed to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of the hero city from the fascist blockade.

The filmmakers used archival footage of newsreels, photographs, documents, art installations and authentic objects, dramaturgy and scenography of the exhibition. The plot is based on a specially written audio performance for the exhibition project. The heroes of the film were the actors who gave the characters of the project their voice: Nina Usatova, Sergey Mardar, Evgenia Fadeeva, Yaroslav Grebelny, as well as Ivan Zhukov (voice - Tikhon Zhiznevsky).
