In Vladivostok, a new stream of training of the tourist information service Striped Navigator started

Anniversary fifth stream of training of participants of the mobile tourist information service Striped Navigator started in Vladivostok.

Last year, the project volunteers consulted more than a thousand people. Participants of the educational course gathered at Vladivostok State University (VVSU). At the introductory lecture, the participants of the new season were told about plans for the summer, the structure of training and the plan of the next classes.

" We continue to work with the project Striped Navigator, as this is a comprehensive work to popularize the tourist opportunities of the Primorsky Territory. On the one hand, we communicate and help tourists directly upon request, on the other hand, we collect feedback from them in order to understand what current destinations of recreation in our region cause their interest. Our task for the season is to prepare volunteers in accordance with our methodological recommendations. We plan to start walking along the routes in July, at the peak moment of the summer season, said Anastasia Povetkina, representative of the Primorsky Territory TIC.

This year, Polosatom Navigator will be five years old. The first volunteers to help tourists took to the streets in 2019. Invariable participants of the project are also “silver” volunteers. For the convenience of volunteer work, in 2021, methodological recommendations were developed on the basics of communication and interaction with tourists. In addition, lectures are organized, at which experts are representatives of the tourist police, the department of youth policy of Vladivostok, current tour guides and others. 

Recall, the project Striped Navigator is the only urban mobile tourist information service in the Far East. Volunteers of the program work on the routes of the central part of Vladivostok – they competently, professionally and free of charge provide tourists with the necessary information. The organizer and initiator of the Striped Navigator project is the tourist and information center of the Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) with the support of the Primorsky Krai Tourism Agency.
