In Vladivostok completed training of volunteers of the tourist information service "Striped Navigator"

Vladivostok summed up the results of the training of the anniversary stream of volunteers of the mobile tourist information service Striped Navigator. 

According to the results of professional training, 17 people received personal certificates.  Volunteers will begin their duties this summer. 

It was a useful experience for me to organize such events. It is very nice to see not only those with whom I have already worked in the “Stripe Navigator”, but also new participants, especially students. They are really interested, and you understand that the volunteer topic is alive, it does not go anywhere, said Anastasia Povetkina, deputy head of the tourist and information department of the Tourist and Information Center of the Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye). 

The volunteers of the project are not just people in bright T-shirts with a map in their hands. For two months, the participants took weekly training courses on local studies, excursions, the specifics of volunteer and tourist activities. Volunteers were trained to provide first aid and ensure the safety of tourists, to cooperate with the tourist police. Classes were held at the venues of Vladivostok State University. Special attention was paid to the communication of volunteers with foreigners. After all, the period of their work also affects the time of the Eastern Economic Forum, when delegations of different countries will gather in Vladivostok. Diplomats of the Consulate General of the PRC were invited to one of the classes, who told future volunteers about the history of China, national cuisine, culture and international cooperation.

I think I will get a lot from this project. It is interesting to try yourself in volunteering, and in such an unusual way. I want to continue to develop in this area and bring good to the world, shared the student Adelia Samudinova. 

The key routes on which volunteers can be found this summer, three: the central square of Vladivostok, including Svetlanskaya Street, Fokina and the embankment of Sports Harbour. Consult the guests of the city striped navigators will co-July 2, on September 10. 

Every year we have more and more new "striped" volunteers. And thanks to them, our city becomes more interesting not only for tourists, but also for local residents. After all, they are young, bright, active, noted the Deputy Director of the Youth Resource Center Maria Koptseva.
