Graduates of the “School of young guide” go on routes
Graduates of the fifth stream were more than 20 people. After completing the course of lectures, children are actively involved in events organized by the Regional Tourist Information Center. So, on Sunday, April 21, young tour guides together with the staff of the tourist information department of the Tourist Information Center of Primorye (Visit Primorye) will hold a tiger quest for the participants of the project “More than a journey”.
After completing our studies at the School, we continue to work with graduates and involve them in our projects. We believe that it is important to support beginner guides and give them the opportunity to express themselves on the routes. For us, this is the involvement of graduates and immersion in the practice of the tour guide profession, attracting young specialists to our projects. In turn, this is an opportunity for children to develop creative thinking and their own creative vision in the presentation of the tourist potential of the city of Vladivostok, – shared her impressions of working with graduates Anastasia Povetkina, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Information Department of the Tourist Information Center of Primorye (Visit Primorye). The course of lectures was held for three months. Participants listened to lectures from different speakers, immersed themselves in the basics of the profession of a tour guide, studied aspects of local history, the regulatory framework and the basics of communication and interaction with tourists.
The organizers of the lectures of the School of Young Guides for schoolchildren were the Tourist and Information Center of the Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) together with the Primorsky Regional Branch of the Russian Geographic Society, the Primorsky Regional Branch of the League of Young Journalists and the Department of Youth Affairs of Vladivostok with the support of the Tourism Agency for Primorsky Krai (Primorsky Information Center);
