The Golden Bridge over the Golden Horn Bay is the main attraction of the city. It can be seen from any part of Vladivostok.
The idea of building the bridge emerged back in the mid-20th century. However, construction on the bridge did not begin until 2008 as part of the city's preparations for the APEC-2012 summit.
The bridge's design has some distinctive features. The supports of the bridge are shaped like an English letter "V". In addition, the Golden Bridge is one of the ten largest cable-stayed bridges in the world.
The natural features of the Primorsky Region were taken into account during the development project. At night, the bridge is illuminated with special lighting. The Golden Bridge is one of three bridges constructed in Vladivostok in recent years and rightfully considered the city's main symbol and its business card.
The best views of the bridge are from the observation platform at the Eaglet's Nest, the observation platform near the Mariinsky Theater Stage, and the observation platform at the Maritime Terminal.
