Benevsky waterfalls of Primorsky Krai
Benevsky waterfalls are formed by the Elomovsky key. The brightest waterfall is Elomovsky or “Star of Primorye”. The picturesque place is located in the Lazovsky district in the middle of the Ussuri taiga at the foot of the Bald Mountain.
The Elomovsky key has 2 sources: at the top of the White Mountain and at the top of the Bald Mountain. Merging into a single stream, the key passes among the peaks of the Przewalsky ridge, flowing into the stormy river Kievka
Where are Benevsky waterfalls
The route to the waterfall begins 4 kilometers from the village of Benevskoye - this is the closest settlement. Low cars should be left along the road, higher cars can drive deep into the forest along a forest road for about 5 kilometers.
The walking route from the clearing takes about 3 hours along the stream. You will have to cross it several times on logs and stones. The height difference is small, the path goes at the foot of Mount Bald. But you should calculate your strength and time to return before dark.
The main goal of the hike is to reach the waterfall "Star of Primorye". It's 24 meters high. They go to the waterfall even in winter, when the flow of water freezes, forming an ice wall
