Private gallery "Arka" in Vladivostok
Gallery "Arka" - the first private gallery in Vladivostok, was founded in 1995 by Vera and Sergey Glazkov.
The main goal of the gallery "Arka" is to popularize the creativity of artists and educational activities in the field of contemporary art. The curatorial approach of the gallery is focused on the development of contemporary Russian art and demonstrates the depth of sophistication of artistic works by regional artists. Developing the concept of cultural space in practice, the gallery presents exhibition projects of both famous and young artists of the Far Eastern region, Russian and foreign authors at its site and at international exhibitions, fairs; promotes the participation of authors in partner projects. Gallery "Arka" cooperates with institutions in Russia and abroad, takes part in international biennales and contemporary art fairs.
Great attention is paid by curators and the gallery supports artists who study and use current style trends in various artistic practices, as well as explore the geography, history and culture of the Far Eastern region.
Exhibitions in the "Arka" gallery
Arka Gallery organizes exhibition projects in its space, which are available for free visit (without payment). As part of the exhibitions, the gallery organizes excursions, where it introduces the works of the presented authors. Expositions are changed once a month.
Also, the gallery "Arka" sells contemporary art and the selection of paintings and other art objects for the interior.
The gallery has a free coworking space, with an open library.
