Construction of the lighthouse began in 1879 and ended in 1881. It is located at an altitude of 104 meters above sea level. The former lighthouse was abolished in 1976, instead a new one was installed with a fire height of 112.6 meters above sea level, a tower height of 7.7 meters near the stone building.
