Nazimov's lighthouse

On the rocky cape of Nazimov in the bays of Posiet Bay - Expedition, Novgorod and Pallas - a lighthouse rises. In 1896, a round metal white lighthouse tower 5.4 m high appeared here. A unique lantern with light-optical devices was made in France and delivered to the place in the early XX century (in 1910). At the same time, a bell signal was installed.

In 1956, the lighthouse underwent a significant reconstruction, after which its height above sea level increased to 14.8 m at a distance of about 15 meters from the coast. The base of the building reaches a height of 3 meters, and the total height of the lighthouse, taking into account the ball deflector, is the same 5.4 meters.

Introduced in 1898, the Nazimov lighthouse operates to this day. Its maintenance is carried out by the Hydrographic Service of the Pacific Fleet of Russia.
