Tokarevsky lighthouse

It is located on a man-made rocky spit extending from Cape Tokarevsky, the so-called Tokarevsky cat. The lighthouse, cape and cat were named after the captain of the corps of naval navigators Mikhail Yakovlevich Tokarevsky. In good weather, you can walk to the lighthouse on the spit, but when the water level rises, the cat is poured, and you can only walk on water.
Tokarevsky Lighthouse is built in the center of a 25-meter-diameter island specially sprinkled at the end of the spit. The height of the lighthouse from the planned surface of the island is 11.48 meters. Construction of the lighthouse on the tip of the cat began in 1910, in 1913 a lamp structure was installed and the lighthouse began its work. In this form, the lighthouse still works.
The lighthouse architecture is quite simple, but at the same time elegant. It is made of red brick, and its white tower with a red roof is clearly visible from afar. The height of the lighthouse is about 22 meters, making it a notable landmark for sailors. Its light signal can be seen at a distance of up to 15 nautical miles, which ensures reliable orientation in conditions of often changing weather.
