Memorial "Combat Glory of the Pacific Fleet"
Круглый год
d. Vladivostok, Ship Embankment
The memorial complex on the Ship Embankment unites several objects dedicated to the feat of Primorye residents during the Great Patriotic War and the achievements of the Pacific Fleet.

In 1958, the memorial ship "Red Vympel" stood on the eternal parking lot on the Ship's Embankment. It was built in 1911, in 1923 became one of the first warships of the Far East, and in the Second World War it took part in hostilities. Now it is a museum where visitors can walk on the deck or enter the cabin. However, only in the warm season: it is closed to visitors from late autumn to early spring. The ticket is sold at the box office of the submarine S-56.

Opposite the ship on May 9, 1975, the submarine C-56 was installed on the pedestal. During the Second World War, she made 8 military campaigns and sank 10 enemy ships, and after 30 years remained in the Pacific Fleet. In 1975, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Victory, the boat was sent to eternal parking and turned into a museum. In its original form, three of the seven compartments are preserved: residential, central and torpedo. Everyone can be visited and examined in detail. The remaining compartments were converted into museum halls. The expositions are dedicated to the C-56 crew and the development of the Russian submarine fleet in general. Now it is open to visitors from 10:00 to 18:00 every day.

Around the boat are bas-reliefs, memorable plates with the names of those killed in the Second World War and Eternal Flame. On the pedestals around the Eternal Flame installed gun from the armored boat project 1125 and ship 102-millimeter gun Obukhov factory.

These monuments were merged into a single complex on July 25, 1982, on the Day of the Navy. Later, the complex was supplemented with a "strong" monument to the first builders . In 1985, on the 125th anniversary of Vladivostok, a 14-meter monument similar to a sail was put on the embankment. It stands on the spot where on July 20, 1860, soldiers from the transport "Manjour" landed.

The memorial complex is located below Admiral Square. The easiest way to approach him is by the ship's embankment. Go down to the promenade from the central square and turn left. First you will see the monument to the first builders, and then, a little further, the rest of the complex.
