Memorial ship "Red Vympel"

One-screw double-deck steam yacht was built in 1911 in Finland by order of Kamchatka Governor V.S. Zavoiko and was named "Admiral Zavoiko". In August 1911, the ship arrived in Vladivostok and served for the needs of the city administration, and was also a passenger and messenger ship.
July 28, 1958 by the Resolution of the Military Council of the Pacific Fleet, the patrol ship "Red Vimpel" for military merits to the Motherland was declared a Memorial Ship of the Red Banner Pacific Fleet and put on eternal parking at the wall of the Ship Embankment in the Golden Horn Bay. But even after the withdrawal from combat, the Red Vympel continued its service, but now as a museum ship, performing no less important tasks.
It helps to shape the worldview of the younger generation, the youth who came to serve in the Pacific Fleet. It also fosters a spirit of respect for the history of the Fatherland and its Armed Forces, for the glorious traditions and experience of previous generations, who served the national interests of the Motherland with dignity and honesty.
On May 29, 1923, by order of the Maritime Forces of the Far East, the messenger ship "Admiral Zavoiko" was renamed to "Red Vympel" and after the installation of 4-khtokhimkhatsky on it, one of the ship from the Vymkhtovskayatovskayatovskayatovskaya system, "Vyevskayatovskayatovskayatovskayatovskaya" became one of the Vykhtovskaya Vychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychychy They arrested 14 poaching courts. Since July 1925, the Red Vympel was at the disposal of the headquarters of the Okhoto-Yakutsk military expedition and participated in the establishment of Soviet power in remote areas of the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk and Bering
1926-1931 "Red Vympel" carried the protection of the coast and natural resources of the Far Eastern territorial waters. Before the Great Patriotic War, the Red Pennant was a training vessel.
The beginning of the Great Patriotic War again changes the fate of the deserved ship. In the first period of the war, the Red Vympel performed work on laying submarine cables, ensuring the parking of submarines on remote unequipped raids. In 1943, Krasny Vympel became the first sonar station of the Pacific Fleet.
During the war, he laid submarine cables, in 1945 he was engaged in cleaning North Korean ports of mines: he demined approaches to ports from the latest sonar mines and not only neutralized them, but also revealed their secret, finding a new method of trawling. For this feat, 23 crew members of the ship were awarded government awards
