d. Vladivostok, Nizhneportovaya Street, 1
The sea gate of the city with its history, which began more than 150 years ago.
.

In 1865, the steam schooner of the Russian Imperial Fleet "Aleut", assigned to the Siberian Flotilla, organized a parking position at this place. On the site of the modern sea station there was only a pier and several buildings. At the same time, the sailors of the schooner began to chop down trees for clearing, they had to keep in touch with the post, which was located in the area of the central square. A little later, Aleutskaya Street appeared on the site of the intersection, named after the schooner.

After 20 years, a stone pier was built on this site for receiving, sending and customs clearance of commercial cargo. It was this pier that became the first parking lot for Russian ships.

The Vladivostok Marine Station acquired its modern appearance in 1991, the building was restored by an Italian construction company.

One side of the station has a glass facade and faces the sea. And the building itself has the shape of a ship, with captain's bridges on the ends. On the roof from the sea there is an inscription "Vladivostok".

>There is an interesting art object on the viewing platform-stylobate of the Marine Station. This is a sundial, which is also called a knecht, although they are made of a smoothbore gun. The clock not only shows the time (and the management of the station watches the clock and moves it every month according to the position of the sun), but also acts as a bridge between the past and the present. The history of the cannon itself is interesting, when at the end of the 19th century, rifled artillery was used instead of smoothbore artillery, some of the outdated guns were melted down, and the other part was used for mooring bollards. So there were mooring guns, and one of them became a sundial
