Museum and Exhibition Center of Nakhodka
2020 for the Museum and Exhibition Center of Nakhodka anniversary. On November 4, 1980, the museum opened its doors for residents and visitors for the first time. Over 40 years of its activity, the museum has been transformed. It all began in 1977, when it was decided to open a museum of the history of the city. Branches of the V.K. Arsenyev Museum were opened in Nakhodka, Partizansk and Dalnerechensk. If the last two branches were opened on the basis of existing museums, then in Nakhodka everything started from scratch
In 1991, the status of the museum was changed, it became an independent municipal cultural institution "Museum and Exhibition Center of Nakhodka".
The museum's funds total over 37,000 items. In the museum collection of objects of archaeology of the XIII century, authentic photographs, documents, household items of immigrants from Chernihiv province to Nakhodka Bay in the early XX century. Most of the materials are devoted to the history of construction of enterprises and objects of social culture, advanced production. Here you can find unique photo documents on the history of the city.
The collection of fine art is represented by painting, graphics, sculpture of the second half of the XX century. Among the graphic works, along with domestic masters, there are works of Japanese artists. The museum collection presents archaeological objects, the pride of the museum is the vessel of the XIII century of the Jurchen Empire.
Here you can find unique photo documents on the history of the city and the life of its people.
