Cape Tobizina

Cape Tobizin - the southernmost point of the Russian island. For a long time, few people knew about this amazing place. The island was a military domain. And it was very difficult to get here.
A hike to Cape Tobizin is a great option for a weekend route. Your journey will start from Karpinsky Bay, where you can leave the car, and on return to swim in the waters of the Sea of Japan. Someone spares his "iron horses" and leaves the car on the highway and goes to the bay through the forest. This option is even more pleasant.
The first attraction on the way is the coastal anti-landing semi-caponier No. 7 built in 1912, one of the many objects of the Vladivostok fortress
The path turns from the sea into the forest. This section of the path can also be very interesting. Along the road there are trees that have taken amazing shapes due to the strong winds blowing here.
And on the way you will surely meet local residents - foxes who are already used to people and go begging for food. However, experts do not recommend feeding animals and especially touching them.
Coming out of the forest, we find ourselves on a high rock, which offers a beautiful view of the sea and Cape Tobizina itself. Absolutely postcard.
> Meanwhile, having overcome a steep climb and a little walk, we go to another vertical rock, which can be found in almost all pictures of Tobizin. In its depths there is a cave, which can be approached only from the sea and only in calm weather.
The rocks of Cape Tobizin were chosen by roupjumpers and cliff divers, fearlessly jumping into the sea. Various festivals and extreme parties with live music and dances are even held here.
Another business card of Cape Tobizin is flat stone slabs resembling a chessboard or a puzzle. In summer, even on a weekday, there are many holidaymakers who are attracted by the beauty of the landscapes and the clean sea.
Cape Tobizin is beautiful at any time of the day, in any weather, at any time of the year. This is one of the rare places where you can walk endlessly and which will never get bored.
How to get there?
Take the car to the end of the paved road (University Avenue). There you can leave the car and then walk along the forest path and road to Karpinsky Bay (15 minutes). From there to the cape on foot along a trail of about 2.5 km or about an hour leisurely pace.
You can take bus 29d from the stop "Emerald" in the city center to the stop "Communal CHPP". From there, walk about two kilometers to the beach in Karpinsky Bay.
