Cape Vyatlina

A walk along Cape Vyatlin begins with a narrow isthmus between Chernyshev and Bogdanovich bays. The shore of Chernyshev Bay was popularly called “Black Sand Beach”. In fact, the beach is composed of large boulders, but in some places there are really small sand islets, and the sand has a dark color.
In the forest area more often than Cape Vyatlin, you can find several interesting military-historical objects. For example, the coastal anti-landing caponier No. 6, built in 1912 according to the project of military engineer Ushakov. Unfortunately, this monument of fortification was severely damaged by an explosion in its premises in the middle of the twentieth century. Going even further deep into the forest, you can find DOT 1938 built and a battery of royal times.
Going down a steep slope to the beach, you will see another attraction of Vyatlin - built of pyramid stones. In 2015, on the occasion of Vladivostok’s birthday, 155 pyramids were built here as part of the “Stone Towers of the City by the Sea” competition. Since then, tradition has emerged. Everyone who comes here builds a stone tower and makes a wish. Tourists say it does. Stone pyramids have already become the hallmark of Vyatlin.
