The Promenade of Sports Harbour

Before the revolution, there were baths here, and at the beginning of the last century there was Semyonovsky mowing, so named because here they mowed grass into hay for horses. In the forties, the Dynamo stadium, water stations and a rowing and sailing base were built here. The embankment has become a popular place for swimming and healthy rest and was called "Sports".
Now there is little left of sports entertainment here, but there is still something to do: walk, ride rides, eat and relax. The promenade is divided into two parts: a spacious walk area and a bustling beach with street food stalls and bars.
The first thing that occurs on the promenade is a large fountain decorated with mosaics. It looks especially spectacular in the evening, when the sunset illuminates 20-meter jets of water. The first fountain on this place appeared in 1985, on the 125th anniversary of the city, and in 2012 it was reconstructed. With the onset of darkness, the fountain appears musical illumination
Around the fountain is a spacious area where city events, fairs and concerts take place throughout the year. Behind it, a wooden flooring descending to the beach was built - a great place to sit and admire the sea.
To the right of the fountain begins a walking area, laid with paving stones. Look at your feet: among the stone slabs come across metal plates with fingerprints of tiger paws. The names of the countries where tigers live are written on them. This part of the embankment leads to the amusement park "Carousel". The Ferris wheel you see in the photos is right there. Recently, the wheel was decorated with bright lighting.
On the embankment of Sports Harbour, swimming is officially prohibited. This rule does not apply to participants of the club of lovers of winter swimming "Kosatka DV". So don't be surprised if you meet a person in a swimsuit here in winter.
Children and citizens come here to swim, for whom the Jubilee Beach has traditionally been a place for swimming, not a walking area.
> At the very end of the Jubilee beach is a watersport station assigned to the Pacific Fleet. Once the central pier was equipped with a ten-meter tower for jumping into the water. It was here that the most memorable concerts of the group "Mumiy Troll" took place.
Now the embankment of Sports Harbour is undergoing the second stage of reconstruction. According to the idea of the city administration, the embankment will soon turn into a park by the sea
