National Park "Udege legend"
Among the tasks facing the national park are the preservation of the valley complex of the rivers of the western macro slope of Sikhote-Alin, the creation of conditions for regulated ecotourism, the introduction of environmental education, environmental education and scientific programs, the involvement of the local population in environmental activities.
Created - June 9, 2007. Total area - 76,706 hectares.
Gateway to the national park
The suspension bridge over the Big Ussurka (the old name Iman is still in use by local residents) in the Far Kuta region has become a kind of gateway to the national park. Although the territory of the park begins further, among tourists it is a starting point. Behind the bridge - the city and bustle, after - the kingdom of taiga and rivers. In the early morning, the suspension bridge will lead travelers into fogs - clean, smelling of a river and a little pine nuts, filled with riddles and leisurely forest wisdom. Upstream
Go on a trip to the "Udege legend" at any time of the year. Each season is good in its own way, and nature will be able to surprise and please with its beauty in any weather. The small noise of the engine breaks the morning silence on the river, simultaneously scaring off the feathered inhabitants: alarmed crumbs, breaking off from their seats and as if running away for takeoff on the water, tend to hide as soon as possible from the hum and human eyes. Two pairs of mandarin ducks, on the contrary, stroll unflappably along the river spit, clubfooting their feet on pebbles, paying no attention to the boat.
Rising upstream, you can find on the slopes a beautiful and quite rare for our edges combination of flowering rhododendron and white trunks of birches. The crimson color harmonizes with white, attracting attention and making notes of tenderness in the taiga landscape.
How to get to the national park
> You can get to the national park only by obtaining permission to be on the territory. You can apply online at the link. To the territory of the national park "Udegeyskaya legend" is most convenient to get by personal or rented vehicles. If this is not possible, then part of the way (to the office of the National Park Administration) can be taken by public transport. To get from Vladivostok to the office of the national park can:
- Train to the railway station Dalnerechensk-1, then by regular bus to c. Roshchino, where the administration of the national park is located;
- Small aircraft from Knevichi airport to Dalnerechensk airport, then by bus to Roshchino village;
- Bus Vladivostok-Roshchino, flight No. 542.
