Land of the Leopard National Park
"Land of the Leopard" is a national park located in the southwest of Primorsky Krai. Only here live four species of wild cats: Amur tiger, lynx, Far Eastern forest cat and Far Eastern leopard - the rarest of the large cats on the planet. Many believed that it was impossible to see this amazing world with your own eyes. Especially the mysterious and fascinating Far Eastern leopard. There are only about 130 of them worldwide. Wild and incredibly secretive, like ghosts. But real. The leopards have been preserved and can now be seen here.
>The most popular eco-route "Leopard Path" is ideal for visiting the whole family. There are many information stands, tablets, interactive game elements, bridges and viewing platforms that make the walk really exciting. The trail passes through the forest area, which presents almost all the vegetation richness of the taiga. Here and there, guests are waiting for the figures of the owner of these places – the Far Eastern leopard. On the trail, you can not only discover the world of nature in the south-west of Primorye, but also get acquainted with its history.
>One of the most "wild" routes is "Leopard's Lair". The route with a talking name leads to the mountain, in the caves of which the leopards periodically find refuge. Here you can easily find traces of predators. In addition, the guide will show you pictures and videos of leopards on camera traps installed at the entrance to one of the caves. On the way to the cave, you can see a feeding area for ungulates, on which hay, grain and salt are laid out in the cold season. This place is very popular with spotted deer, boars and roe deer, which in winter in abundance leave their traces here.
There is a modern hotel complex on the "Land of the Leopard" equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay away from civilization, including a sports and health complex.
How to get to the national park?
On the bus. Every day, intercity buses depart from the bus station of Vladivostok (Russian Street 2A) to Barabash, which follow the central highway Vladivostok - Slavyanka. Travel time is about two hours. You can buy a ticket on the bus station website.
By car. To get to Barabash on your own, you need to leave Vladivostok and get to the village of Razdolnoye by Ussuri highway (A370). Further on the highway "Razdolnoye - Hasan" (05A-214) you will get to Barabash. Travel time is about an hour and a half.
