Petrova Island

Island covered in myths and legends. The famous yew grove on the island, according to scientists, is about 1,200 years old. Its trees are planted in strict geometric order and make up a phrase of six or seven characters, which no one has been able to translate. Under the cover of a yew grove on the island, a spring beats, to which the locals ascribe magical power that grants wishes. On the island of Petrov, the remains of an ancient fortress of the Zhurchen era have been preserved, with which many legends are associated.
A trip to Petrov Island can be combined with a holiday on the shore of the bay of the same name. In recent years, comfortable recreation centers and glamping have appeared here.
How to get there: Petrov Island is located in the southeast of the Primorsky Territory near the village of Kyivka. The island is part of the Lazovsky Reserve. You can get there only as part of an organized tour.
