Today, the island of Scot is uninhabited, but during the walk you will often meet traces of the former presence of a person. For example, the remains of concrete vats for salting fish, a dilapidated lighthouse, coastal battery objects or the ruins of a military artillery town. Previously, Shkota Island was an important strategic object covering the approach to Vladivostok.
Most tourists are attracted here not by military history, but by the enchanting nature and beauty of the sea coast. High cliffs, bizarre kekura, mysterious grottoes. However, to see it all from the shore is quite difficult, and sometimes dangerous. Therefore, the best option is to go around the island for a walk on SUP boards or kayaks.
