Monument to soldiers-countrymen who fell in the battles of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The monument erected in the city of Big Stone in 1985 is a significant memorial building dedicated to the memory of countrymen who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
This monument was opened on June 26, 1985, on the eve of the XII World Festival of Youth and Students, and was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Victory. The construction funds were collected by residents of Bolshoi Stone and Shkotovsky district of Primorsky Krai.
The obelisk weighing 11 tons consists of nine reinforced concrete parts. Compositionally, it includes two sculptural groups. On the left are five female figures, symbolizing mothers, wives and brides left behind. On the right, slightly advanced, there are five figures of soldiers standing in a single formation. >> The space between the female and male groups symbolizes the line that divided families by war, taking the lives of many countrymen.
In 2005, next to the obelisk, the Alley of Memory of larchs was laid and the Eternal Flame was lit, which made the memorial an even more important place for commemorative events and expressing gratitude to the heroes.
