The building of the Vladivostok Postal and Telegraph Office (post office)
Vladivostok Post Office (post office) — the first post office building in Vladivostok
Post service in Vladivostok began to develop in 1863, when the first official correspondence arrived here. However, a full-fledged post office building appeared only in 1897-1899. It was made in the Russian style, with characteristic elements of architecture of the XVII century: arched windows, decorative facades and tent roofs.
The best time to visit the Vladivostok Post Office
You can visit the post office at any time of the year. In summer, its facade looks especially beautiful in sunlight, and in winter the ancient architecture looks even more expressive against the background of snow.
Photographs of the building are best done in the morning or evening hours, when the soft light emphasizes its architectural details. And if you go inside, you can send a postcard to your relatives directly from the historical center of Vladivostok
