Wind Power is the largest sailing community in Russia, which teaches sailing, arranges regattas and expeditions around the world.
With the onset of summer, the water area of the Amur Bay is decorated with bright colors of sails. It is no exaggeration to say that Vladivostok is the yacht capital of Russia. And most importantly, today yachts and sailing are not the lot of the chosen ones. To go to sea under sail can now anyone. And not just go out, but take part in the regatta or go on a real sea adventure.

Wind Power is the largest sailing community in Russia, which teaches sailing, arranges regattas and expeditions around the world. The purpose of the association is to make yachting accessible to everyone, to show that it is not only a sport, but also a memorable leisure option. For the second season of “The Power of the Wind” gives an opportunity to join the sailing romance of residents and guests of Primorye. The Wind Power base is located in the heart of Vladivostok. But the most interesting is the multi-day sailing expeditions in the Sea of Japan. You will find an adventure on the 50-foot yacht Bavaria 50 Cruiser with comfortable cabins, shower and spacious kitchen. The boats are fully adapted to sea voyages, meet all safety requirements, are equipped with a heating system and are operated by experienced captains. There are five double cabins on the boat.

In the Primorsky Territory there are many beautiful islands that you can safely walk on yachts. The nearest islands are 40 minutes from our base and we go there for training even in small boats. If you go a little further, you can see wild uninhabited islands that are part of the marine biosphere reserve, kekurs, fur seals, bird bazaars, scallop plantations, says Daria Smirnova, head of the Wind Force in Vladivostok.

The route of the five-day expedition passes through the most picturesque places of the coast of Primorsky Krai. During the trip, landings on uninhabited islands, fishing, baths are planned.

" When traveling, we try to keep the balance of sea and land. On average, we will walk on water for about four to eight hours a day. We have carefully thought through each point of the route, but depending on weather conditions or emergency circumstances, we reserve the right to make adjustments to the route and program, explains Tatyana Lebedeva, head of the travel department of Wind Powers.

By the way, you need to be prepared for the whims of seaside weather. One day you can expect a complete calm and hot sun, and the next day – a high wave, heavy wind or thick fog. But this is the advantage of yachting in Primorye. It will not be boring.

Vladivostok has one of the windiest water areas in Russia. The wind is almost always there, and it blows from different directions. There are calm, and hurricanes, and a very strong wave, and gusty ragged wind, and stable. Therefore, yachting is always different and interesting, says Gleb Brant, captain of the Wind Force in Vladivostok. But still the coolest season for recreation and yachting in Vladivostok is the second half of August and the whole of September. Here September is called “Grandma in summer”, when there is just fantastic weather, every day the sun shines, the air is discharged, there are no fogs and haze, so the clarity is very high. In the sea every day a lot of sun and waves with lambs! And it is important that the water in the sea until October is not colder than 25 degrees.
