Tourist Award "Beacons of Tourism"

2024 for the tourism sector was very productive. The tourism industry of Primorsky Krai in its key indicators returns to the figures of pre-pandemic 2019. At the end of the year, the tourist flow slightly did not reach the 4 millionth indicator: the number of visits amounted to 3.891 million tourists, of which more than 510 thousand are foreign citizens.

The past season showed a steady trend in the development of gastronomic tourism in the region, because it is not for nothing that the recognized masters of Far Eastern cuisine are concentrated in Primorye and its capital - Vladivostok. For example, in the region were held: the second street festival pollock “O! Mega Taste (12+) and the third street scallop festival “On the Crest!”, and the fish market worked at WEF-2024 (16+). Each dish at gastro festivals reflects the flavor of the Primorsky Territory and the Far East.

2024 was distinguished by bright festivals and events. Vladivostok (along with Moscow) became the Youth Capital-2024. So, Primorye hosted the “Tiger Day” (12+), the second event festival “Primorye Monsoons” (12+), “VDK Fest”, “Fisherman’s Day” (12+), the first international festival of street culture “Maisky” (12+), local history “Festival of Rododendron” (12+) and “Sikhote-Alin” (12+) and many others! Tourist trends in the region also include beach holidays, holding various forums, the cultural component of tourism. Great prospects for the development of new areas - fishing, ecological and hunting tourism.

In the regional tourism industry, the idea arose to identify and encourage best practices, which, in turn, will undoubtedly contribute to the overall growth of the quality of tourist services in Primorye and the consolidation of the industry community.  And it is no accident that the regional industry community has the idea to establish a special award - "Tourism Beacons" (12+)
