Vladivostok State Circus

Since then, nine different circuses have opened in Vladivostok in turn, in which both Russian and foreign troupes performed. In 1889, a circus was built in the area of the Officer's Sloboda, located between the stops "Dalzavod" and "Avangard".
In 1901, at the intersection of the streets of the 1st Sea and Korean (the area above the station square), entrepreneur Boroviks built a "Public Access Theater", which burned down ten years later. The same fate befell the “City Circus”, located in the 30s of the last century at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Ensign Komarov Street. Thirty years, from 1938 to 1968, in the area of the central square of Vladivostok opposite the cinema "Ussuri" in the city square was a summer circus chapito, which worked from early spring to late autumn. And in late 1973, the city finally received the famous “shell”. The first performance, titled "Dream to meet", took place on January 1, 1974.
Since the end of 2017, the circus has been renovated and invites guests!
