Today, the Military History Museum of the Pacific Fleet stores more than 40 thousand exhibits, and under the exposition are 11 halls located on two floors.

The TOF Museum is located in an ancient building, which is a monument of history and architecture. It was built in 1903 by the construction commission of the Vladivostok port on the project of the architect I.I. Seestrandt and was intended for the residence of family and single officers of the Siberian naval crew.

The building is built in the traditions of "strict" classicism and is part of a single architectural ensemble of officer wings located on Svetlanskaya Street.

The initiator of the creation of the museum and its first chief was Lieutenant Colonel Sushkov Boris Alexandrovich. Under his command and with direct personal participation, a huge work was carried out to collect exhibits on the history of the Pacific Fleet. A large number of museum objects were removed from the Port Arthur Museum. As a result of scientific expeditions of museum employees to Kamchatka and the Commander Islands in 1958, the museum collection was replenished with materials on the history of the development of the Far East, and thanks to the expedition to the Kuril Islands, exhibits of the war with Japan of 1945 were received in the funds.

Until 1997, the museum exposition was located in the building of the Lutheran Church on Pushkinskaya Street, 14. In September 1997, the museum changed its address: it was provided with a building on Svetlanskaya Street, 66, the so-called officer outbuilding, which is a monument of history and architecture.

The exposition complex of the Museum of the Pacific Fleet is complemented by the exhibition “Arms Courtyard”, which presents authentic items of equipment and weapons of ships and units of the Pacific Fleet that took part in hostilities at different stages of its history. The cast-iron gun of the sample of 1794 from the Kodiak bot, which was part of the Okhotsk flotilla, the anchor chain stopper and part of the anchor from the Pallada frigate belong to the period of development of the lands of the Far East. In November 2006, in a solemn atmosphere, a monument dedicated to the heroes of the Russian-Japanese War of 1904-1905 was opened, which also became part of the architectural and exposition complex of the Military Historical Museum of the Pacific Fleet.
