Fern

Young fern stalks are collected by Primorsky people around the edge until they have yet to bloom and are suitable for food. Before you start cooking it, you need to rid the plant of the characteristic bitterness. As a rule, this helps soaking in cold water for 4-5 hours. Next, you can salt it (cook a special tuzeluk and soak in it), marinate, or you can make a fresh salad, boil (add to soup) or roast with meat and vegetables.

In Slavic mythology, the fern flower was endowed with magical properties. They say that it blooms only one moment a night on Ivan Kupala. The plucked fern flower becomes all-powerful. But this is only a beautiful legend, since the fern does not bloom
