What is the Night of Museums and how to hold it in Vladivostok

The Night of Museums is an international cultural and educational event, which is timed to coincide with the International Museum Day.
In 2024, the action is dedicated to the Year of the Family, announced by Presidents of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The theme of the event is “From generation to generation”. Family heirlooms.” The peculiarity of this event is that the museum can be visited at night, after sunset. The purpose of the event is to show the resources and opportunities of modern museums, as well as to attract young people. In Vladivostok, the Night of Museums will be held on the night of May 18-19.
The Tourist and Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) has collected for you a selection of events dedicated to this day.
Gastronomic Village from Visit Primorye The spirit and mood of museum lovers, excursions, history will feed in Gastronomic village, which will appear in Svetlanskaya. Asian food court in the framework of the festival “Night of Museums – 2024” will work on May 18 from 12:00 to 22:00. Its participants are five representatives of fast food popular in Vladivostok: “Sisters Kim”, “Chi-Fan”, “Omlet Station”, “Mirine”, “Food and Point”.
Visitors of the cultural festival will be offered various snacks and drinks under the name of Primorye, its multinationality, the proximity of its neighbors in the Asia-Pacific region and the diversity of the Far Eastern cuisine.
"Night of Museums" in the Antique Gallery-Museum of Kartotech (12+) For guests, historical lectures, a meeting with a collector of Soviet wedding outfits, a fashion show, a photo zone and much more are prepared. "Night of Museums" in the Primorsky State Art Gallery (0+) In the Main enfilades you will meet with the works of the great Russian painter at the exhibition “Ivan Shishkin” and the landscapes of Vladivostok by the seaside author Victoria Kosenko at the exhibition “Near You”. In the parade hall of guests will be waiting for the exhibition “In the Land of the Emerald Buddha”, which presents more than 170 works of art of famous Russian masters.
