Smell - again in Vladivostok!

From 1 to 15 February in the cities of Primorsky Krai will be held the eighth gastronomic festival of winter fish "Smell and Co." And how else: winter fishing, fishing for smelt and navaga, sitting near the hole is in the blood of the locals.

Ordinary "fry" is always in priority: what could be tastier and easier? But that's the whole thing. To this simple dish, restaurant chefs create interesting sauces or creatives, offering guests author's dishes, such as smelt in a bar with tartar sauce or roast from navaga with sour cream and smoked almonds, eggplant medallions with pollock and squid or ear in the Far East.

small-mouthed smelt-"Smelt" (~10 cm). It is roasted whole to a crispy crust and served with sauces and side dishes. The menu also promises sweet navaga.

The fish theme will go beyond restaurants and will receive a continuation in the photo project "Fishermen and us". His main character is a fisherman who sits by the hole for hours waiting for a kick. And next to it, despite the frosts, against the background of popular tourist sites, life boils: meetings with a mermaid, hockey, saps, running and curling. Each frame of the project was continued in postcard format. This “hello from Vladivostok” in its own way tells about the city and visually conveys the code of its identity – lively, winter and truly seaside.
