Vladivostok schoolchildren continue to get acquainted with the Far Eastern cuisine

A master class in Far Eastern cuisine was held at schoolchildren of grades 5-8 in Vladivostok private school "Wunder". The main theme of the lesson is Far Eastern Solyanka (with fern).

Guys through the cooking process got acquainted with regional gastronomy and local products, talked about traveling around the edge and interesting places to visit.

For many it was a real revelation that the solyan is not only the second dish, but also the first. And the history of this dish is very exciting. Moreover, its interpretation in a regional manner using sea and taiga gifts and today causes heated debate among industry experts. >> In general, it was not boring in class. And Vladimir Kozhevin, one of the active participants of all gastroprojects of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye), tried his best.

The guys were also interested in household issues of cooking dishes: the process of cooking broth, the correctness of adding spices, preparing specific products. Almost all 25 participants in the class wanted to act as a cook, helping the chef. And everyone got not only his moment of fame, but also the opportunity to "look" into the profession. 

Plus of such lessons that the guys are not silent, but ask. And they are actively interested in gastronomy, profession and Primorsky Krai. So this time we talked about traveling around the edge, about places of rest, about how to popularize the region so that tourists come to Primorye and vacationers are happy with the service. Recall that the project to conduct gastro lessons in schools of Vladivostok was launched in 2023-2024 academic grounds. It was organized by the Tourist and Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) together with the Department for Work with Municipal Education Institutions of Vladivostok.
