The 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is approaching. This important holiday in the life of each of us is celebrated by the whole country, including Primorye. In the region there are meetings, rallies, patriotic actions. And the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) offered a Vladivostok schoolboy to get acquainted with military cuisine during master classes.
This lesson was held for sixth-graders of the Vladivostok School 72. The main dish of this military gastronomic lesson was soldiers' shy. The guys were very interested in the question of why they are called soldiers and what, in fact, their difference from the usual first dish. It turned out that during the war, cereals were added to ordinary soups, so the dish became much more filling, and soldiers could not feel hungry for longer after eating. In addition to practicality, the soup was also incredibly tasty
"I chose shy because it is a real folk dish, simple as life itself, but in it is the whole soul. This is what soldiers prepared in the field, and it has always been a symbol of warmth, comfort and strength. I wanted to show the guys that even in difficult times, simple food could give support and faith, said Azamat Mukhamedov, the chef of the chain of breakfast cafes all day long..
Front chefs found opportunities and ways to be at any point and cook hearty, much and tasty. And this despite interruptions in the supply of food, air raids and artillery shelling. It can be safely said about them “they will prepare porridge from an axe.”
"The military-field kitchen was not only a source of food, but also moral support for soldiers. A simple plate of hot chicks could mean much more than the most exquisite restaurant dinner - because it contained warmth, care and a reminder of home. During the master class, I tried to convey this mood to the children - I told how such dishes helped to keep the spirit. The main emphasis was placed on the meaning of simple things in difficult times and on respect for the memory of those who went through the war, added Azamat Mukhamedov
Pupils unanimously noted that such a lesson has a mood. Everyone was interested, the guys noted the usefulness of this lesson.
" The lesson is wonderful. They were preparing "soldiers' shields." The children realized that the choice would be made for a reason, and it is directly related to the upcoming holiday of May 9. I knew the kitchen was winning too. The chef captivated the guys, infected them with his mood. It's so nice to see the children's eyes burning and curious. It is wonderful that there are such projects in our city. After all, the child not only had fun, but tried himself as a cook, learned a new thing. And the use of headphones gave a feeling of complete immersion in history, - shared his thoughts class teacher of sixth graders Alexander Gordanova.
