" The role of catering points at any time was of high importance. During the Great Patriotic War, it is not only jobs, basic livelihoods, but also a rather high social meaning: life goes on, we are not broken. Of course, I wanted to honor the memory of those who performed this role. Remember those simple dishes that warmed both the civilian population and those who were on the front lines. These dishes live today in the kitchens of Russian people, in restaurants and in street food formats, says Ksenia Mukshtanova, operating director of the street food chain Food and Point.

To hear about the events of the Great Patriotic War firsthand is almost impossible, there are too few people who remember those terrible years. But we have a memory: today we learn about the war from books, diaries with yellowed pages, flashing black and white footage of the chronicles.
