On the birthday of a scallop in Vityaz Bay, the guests of the holiday rested well and worked

The birthday of the scallop is a celebration of the birth of new life in the sea. When we organized the event for the fourth time, we noticed that the more people come to us, the better the harvest. This year, despite all the exhortations of weather forecasters, the weather pleased us, so we expect a large harvest, said the founder of the farm Vasily Grebennikov

The organizer of the holiday is Grebennikov Marine Farm annually with the support of the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye). Already the first “Scallop Birthday”, which took place in 2022, attracted Primorsky residents with its originality, program, platform. Since then, the event has been an annual event, firmly fit into the event calendar of the region and every time gathers more and more participants.

> At the holiday, guests tried the scallop, which was laid during the first "Birthday" in 2022. By the beginning of May, it reached the peak of its gastronomic appeal: before spawning, gonads (caviar and milk) are as full as possible, which gives the shellfish the whole range of taste qualities. This was convinced by the participants of the event, who tasted almost 350 portions of scallop “according to an old recipe for marivode”. This dish is prepared only at the holiday: the shell is cooked in salty sea water and served with creamy garlic sauce. And the guests ate about 200 portions of seaside ears, and also took with them several hundred kilograms of scallop of the first water (that is, directly from the sea).

"The sea farm is open all year round. We see that Vityaz Bay is beautiful at any time, and with our event we push the boundaries of the tourist season and show that you can relax here throughout the year. Our cozy guest houses are available for tourists, added Vasily Grebennikov .

And indeed, on this day on the coast of Vityaz Bay was very crowded, as at the peak of the tourist season. People came in families - not only from neighboring municipalities and Vladivostok, Artem and Ussuriysk, but also from the regions - Khabarovsk Territory, Magadan region

The entertainment was for everyone. Children in the framework of free master classes painted seashells, composed poems and played fairy tales with professional actors. On the stage performed jazz trio La France and Vladivostok indie band hehehe. In breaks - quizzes, contests, competitions in speed cleaning of the scallop, acquaintance with comfortable guest houses.

About 100 people visited a tour of the sea garden, during which they learned about the peculiarities of growing mollusk and themselves planted almost fifty individuals of scallop juveniles on the bottom of the bay, making a wish. This scallop will become a gastronomic hero of the holiday in 2-3 years. And this time they can learn how their "seedles" feel in the sea garden, how it grows and gains strength
