Today, no one argues that gastronomy and travel are one. Here is not only the promotion of the region and the disclosure of its tourism potential, but also an educational mission with a respectful attitude to history. It was this vector that was set at the lesson at the secondary school No48 of Vladivostok, where a cognitive and gastronomic master class for children was held.

This lesson united the history of the great traveler, the routes of expeditions to the Primorsky Territory and the authentic tastes of Far Eastern cuisine. The event was organized by the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) with the participation of the National Center “Russia” in Primorsky Krai. The pan-Asian restaurant ZUMA became a gastronomic partner of the event.

The first part of the meeting was devoted to the history and geography of the native land. Tour guide NC "Russia" in Primorye Natalia Shalina held for sixth-graders a fascinating lecture on the life and exploits of the outstanding researcher of the Far East, writer and traveler Vladimir Klavdievich Arsenyev. The choice of the topic is not accidental: the event became part of the preparation for the Year of Geography, which was announced by the President of the Russian Federation for 2027.

Then the history lesson quietly turned into a culinary performance. Under the guidance of the chef of the restaurant ZUMA, schoolchildren learned to prepare an exquisite dessert, the basis of which was a biscuit with one of the symbols of taiga Primorye - cedar nuts. Children personally supplemented it with air sauce "Three milk", fragrant salted caramel and fresh berries.

"Depending on the season, the gifts of the seaside nature can go in the course - from honeysuckle to actinidia," shared the secret of the brand chef of the pan-Asian restaurant ZUMA Roman Kotovsky.
