In Vladivostok again “enters” pollock

The festival has been held in Vladivostok since 2023 and this will be the third. The fate of the white wild fish is predetermined - to introduce pollock not only to guests and residents of Vladivostok, but also to the whole of Russia. The presentation of gastronomic opportunities and the festival will be held in the national center "Russia" (Moscow). In addition to voicing the main indicators of the event (note: the festival has already reached the federal level), the chefs will surprise guests with a taste palette and a variety of Pollock dishes. We are gradually moving away from understanding that pollock is a fish for cats.

In Vladivostok from May 19 to June 1, the restaurant part of the festival “O!Mega Vkustos” will be held. The chefs will present a special menu with author's dishes from pollock. Given that the creativity of seaside chefs is at a high level, the visitors of restaurants are waiting for more than one surprise. Moreover, enough of those Epicureans who will go from restaurant to restaurant and compare, savor, evaluate. The platform for the street part of the festival "O!Mega Vkus" will be the updated embankment of Sports Harbor, where the gastronomic town will work on May 31 and June 1. The program isn't just about eating. According to tradition, master classes will be held, where chefs will share their secrets and recipes, and guests will be able to taste gastronomic offers from pollock. The program includes thematic lectures, concerts and special gastronomic performances for children.

Given the usefulness of wild white fish, and this is a lot of nutrients, the regulation of sugar and iodine in the body, a storehouse of protein and omega-3, why not enter pollock in the menu of school canteens. How will children react to this innovation? And so pollock became the main “hero” of gastronomic lessons in Vladivostok educational institutions. Almost 80 children aged 10 to 16 years under the guidance of chefs of Vladivostok restaurants on May 15, 19 and 22 will master the preparation of dishes from pollock.

Their weighty word "say" dishes from pollock in the field of fast food. During three months, that is, practically all summer, guests and residents of Vladivostok in the area of Admiral Fokin Street Square will be able to choose dishes from wild white fish. To do this, a special food truck will be installed, where the city's chefs will introduce everyone to the Far Eastern cuisine, betting on pollock dishes.

Recall that 25 restaurants and cafes of Vladivostok took part in the second street festival. 11,000 servings of pollock dishes were sold. The third festival should give new tastes, impressions and, of course, recipes.

The annual pollock festival is held with the support of the Government of the Primorsky Territory. The festival is organized by the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye), the Russian Fishery Company (RPK) and the federal project "Gastronomic Map of Russia".
