In Vladivostok in August 2025, a large-scale mural “To the East” appeared, which became the largest art object of the festival of street art “Faces of cities”. Its area exceeds five thousand square meters, and now the facade of the Olympic sports complex has turned into a real art canvas.

The author of the work was the famous master of world street art from China NUT. Together with him, six of his colleagues worked on the creation of the monumental composition: Gu Yu, Luo Zonji, Shi Tianxi, Wang Zhaoyang, Liu Zeija and Ke Yuzhen.

The central images of the mural are the Chinese dragon and the Amur tiger. The dragon symbolizes wisdom and strength, and the tiger is the pride and natural symbol of the Russian Far East. According to the author, this is not just an artistic composition, but a metaphor for international relations: fragile as porcelain, and at the same time durable if they are based on trust and mutual respect.

The sketch of the future mural was chosen by citizens during an open vote in June 2025. Today, “To the East” has become a new bright landmark of Vladivostok and a symbol of friendship and cooperation between Russia and Asian countries
