Sikhote-Alin Reserve

The reserve stretches for many tens of kilometers in the north of the Primorsky Territory. Its area is 4,016 km2.
The reserve combines the whole complex of northern and southern species of flora and fauna characteristic of Primorsky Krai - from the highlands of Central Sikhote-Alin to the sandy and pebble beaches of the Sea of Japan. On mountain ranges and spurs coexist tropical plants with northern forests. And anyone can see this protected beauty.
Sikhote-Alinsky Reserve was established on February 10, 1935. Initially, it was planned to restore the sable population, but eventually became the territory where work began to preserve many species of animals and plants that were endangered, including the Amur tiger
