The action "Far Eastern Leopard Week" will be held for the first time in Primorsky Krai. Concert, exhibitions, lectures, master classes and screenings of films about the leopard will be organized at many venues in Russia and China, bringing together partners of the Directorate of Reserves "Land of the Leopard".

Far Eastern Leopard Week will be a new stage in the development festival "Leopard Day", which is traditionally held in Vladivostok in May. The festival will be the main event of the Far Eastern Leopard Week.

The start of the action will be given on April 28 at the site of the new Leopard Guardian - Far Eastern Federal University. There will be a solemn presentation of the certificate and symbol of the Guardian to the representatives of the University. On the same day, the start of the Far Eastern Leopard Week will be given in secondary schools and other educational institutions of the Primorsky Territory. Within a few days, employees and volunteers of the “Land of the Leopard” will tell the younger generation about the amazing fate of a rare cat, which was saved from extinction thanks to the timely united actions of conservationists.

The key participant of the “Far Eastern Leopard Week” will also be the Museum of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev. On its site - in the House-Museum of V.K. Arsenyev (Arsenyev St., 7B) April 29 will be the opening of the photo exhibition of unique images of the leopard, made by camera traps during scientific monitoring. Also during the entire period of the action in the House-Museum will be held lectures and master classes, dedicated to the rare spotted cat. A large lecture from the staff of “Land of the Leopard” with view of the film will also be held in the central building of the Museum of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev 1 May.

“Far Eastern Leopard Week” will also be celebrated at the site of Vladivostok International Airport. Here the passengers of the airport will be met and escorted by the animator in the costume of the Far Eastern leopard, along the way telling residents and guests of Primorye about the history of the revival of the population of this amazing cat.

>The brightest element of the "spotted" week will be the festival "Leopard Day", which will be held May 3 near the amphitheater on the embankment of Vladivostok. Traditionally, the festival program will include a race in leopard images, an open-air concert, master classes, a show in leopard costumes, outdoor games and quizzes. It is expected that this year, for the first time, Chinese creative groups will take part in the concert part of the festival.
