Far Eastern Aviation Museum in Primorsky Krai
Far Eastern Aviation Museum is a young but very promising tourist site of Primorsky Krai. Its official opening took place on September 10, 2021. Now there are 12 samples of aviation equipment, but the prospects are not limited to this.
Far Eastern Aviation Museum - the name speaks for itself. The local exhibits are not only rarities, but also a page in the history of domestic civil aviation, which can be read while in this museum in the city of Arsenyev. By the way, it is in this city that one of the largest enterprises of the Russian aerospace industry is located - "Arsenyev Aviation Company Progress" named after N. I. Sazykin.

But the management of the museum does not hide that the work on expanding the exhibition site and increasing the exhibits continues. Negotiations are underway to transfer several pieces of decommissioned military aircraft to the museum, including ship-based helicopters.
All tour guides of the museum in the past were closely associated with aviation (although there are no former). A pilot, navigator, radio electronics engineer, aircraft and helicopter engineer will answer any question related to aircraft, models, aviation history, etc. And these “journeys to the sky” are very popular among schoolchildren.
Exhibits of the exhibition of the Aviation Museum
Aircraft is, of course, the basis of the exhibition. But there are other equally interesting exhibits. For example, the P-15 anti-ship missile. It was developed in the mid-50s of the XX century, and it was produced from 1959 to the 90th year at the Progress plant. It is not for nothing that it was dubbed the “Kalashnikov automatic” among other ship missiles. And the black box? Those flight recorders? And it's not black, and it's not even a box. The rounded form is easier to tolerate falls and damage, and the bright color is due to the fact that such an object is much easier to find. And if earlier all information during the flight was recorded on film or wire, as on the first tape recorders, now digitalization and modern technologies are to help.
The Far Eastern Aviation Museum opened its doors in September 2021, but has already managed to gain popularity among Primorsky residents and guests of the region, including foreigners. It's not enough, though. Now the museum prepares information in English: booklets, navigation and explanatory tablets.
Recently, the museum can get acquainted with the expositions in a new format: the museum recorded 22 audio guides
