Eleanor Lord Prey, who is called the first Vladivostok blogger, left behind a unique legacy. Her letters, written between 1894 and 1930, became a chronicle of the life of the city. In them she described in detail the life, events and atmosphere of Vladivostok.
In 2014, a monument to Eleanor Lord Prey was erected in her honor in Vladivostok. Sculptor Alexei Bokiy depicted her descending the stairs to the Post Lane, where she lived. On the wall next to the monument are engraved lines from her letter, where she admits that Vladivostok has passed the best part of her life.
