The Valley of Atlantis is a unique rock complex located 40 kilometers from the city of Nakhodka, near the village of Wrangel. On the territory of the complex you can see megaliths of the most bizarre forms, which seem to violate the laws of physics, holding on to their base. Some of these stones resemble giant monoliths standing on the edge of the cliff, and create the illusion that they are about to fall.
According to the official version, the unusual shapes of the stones were formed due to the long exposure of natural factors - wind, sun and precipitation, which "carved" these stones for thousands of years. However, another version is popular, according to which the Valley of Atlantis was built by an unknown civilization. Around this place there are many myths and legends, and still it is an object of attraction for those who believe in the power of otherworldly forces

According to one of the popular legends, the place was built by an ancient alien civilization that left behind megaliths. Some believe that spirits still live here, guarding the territory and not allowing to interfere with its secrets. Rock formations such as the Pirates' Castle (or Devil's Finger) create the feeling that they have fallen into an ancient forgotten world

Summer and autumn are the best seasons to visit, as nature is especially picturesque at this time, and the weather is comfortable for walking on the rocks. Also at this time, the most successful photos are obtained when the sun plays on the stones, creating a magical atmosphere. In winter, the Valley of Atlantis can be difficult to access due to snow, as well as sharp temperature changes, which complicates hikes. To get to the Valley of the Atlanteans, you can drive to the village of Vrangel, and then move towards the Bay of Quiet. From there, you can climb to the rock complex "Pirate Castle" from one of the sides, or walk along the ridge leading to the bay.
For tourists who prefer hiking, there are several trails, including one starting from the SNT "Zapovedny". This route is suitable for those who are ready to walk for several hours through hilly terrain with elevation changes. Climbing the rocks is not particularly difficult, but for children and beginners in hiking it can be difficult due to rocky areas and steep slopes.
