Mountains Brother and Sister in Primorsky Krai

These two mountains are shrouded in legends and a huge amount of controversy about their origin. Brother and Sister is not an official name. Officially, they are called Klykov Peak, where the Brother is Klykov’s North Peak, and the Sister is Klykov’s South Peak.

The sister literally towers above the city, and the Brother is recognizable for its beheading: during the USSR, the upper part of the mountain was destroyed, creating a gravel quarry here. Both mountains are famous for panoramic views from the peaks at any time of the day and at any time of the year. Climbing both peaks will not be difficult: the Sister will have to go on foot, and you can climb the Brother by car.  

From the top of the mountain (sopka) Sister offers a wonderful view of the Sea of Japan and the valley of the Partizan River, which is called the pearl of Primorye. Sopka Brother, until it was blown up, closed the Golden Valley from fog and cold sea winds, creating an amazing microclimate in it. The Golden Valley has long been revered by locals as a mysterious and mysterious place. There is a legend that Sister and Brother heal the people who came to them. And some scientists believe that the pyramidal shape of the hill Brother unnatural origin. In their opinion, Mount Brat is the oldest architectural structure. It has not been proven yet, but many studies and findings say it.

How to get to Brat and Sister Mountains

Brother and Sister Mountains can be reached from Vladivostok by car to Nakhodka, and then turn to the Vostochny port. Behind the bridge over the river Partizanskaya there is a road to the foot of Sister, to the left - to Mount Brat.
